Why Do You Write?
This poem explores the purpose of writing as a way to express unspoken emotions and give voice to those who cannot. It reflects on the power of poetry to transform pain into words, capturing the harsh realities of the world while questioning its impact. The poet writes not to change the world directly but to ensure that stories and struggles are heard

Your deeds are more important than your words
You can’t change the world by just writing
It's pretty useless - this poetry and art
I write for the girl who didn’t understand her emotions
Whose head runs faster than her hand
Who cried at every inconvenience
Sighed at every injustice
Moaned at every pain
The tears that once poured,
turned into stanzas and rhymes
Attempting to put her pain into words-
She wants to express the harshness of the world
through similes and metaphors
But nothing captures the reality of what’s happening
“why do you write”
I write for those who can’t
Cause if I don't, who will?
